“I stopped smoking on June 29, 2011, my husband’s birthday. I think I’m over the hump now. My husband died from pulmonary fibrosis in January 2011 and after I saw pictures from the damage to his lungs I was determined to quit.”

A Healthier Place to Live, Work, and Play
The Let’s Face It initiative was created so that every St. Louis area resident has the opportunity to live the fullest, healthiest life possible, by living smoke-free. However, we can’t accomplish this alone.
It will take the combined efforts of residents across St. Louis to make our community a healthier place to live, work, and play. In addition to individual citizens, we have enlisted a series of community partners, ranging from hospitals to employers to area school districts, to make a real and lasting impact on quality of life in St. Louis.
When we work together, we can make a difference.
